If you are not a member of the club then we hope the site will give you an insight into what the club is all about and encourage you to come along to one of our training sessions. The club meets for training at The Dunfermline Academy of Sport (formerly Powerleague), Pitreavie Playing Fields, Dunfermline, every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.15pm (for a 6.30pm start). The Academy of Sport offer superb changing / showering facilities along with a licensed bar and cafe.
We are a friendly club that welcomes new members of all abilities regardless of whether you are a serious competitor or just wanting to keep fit.
This opening race of the cross country season saw our Men's A Team finish a superb 6th overall. Lewis Lawson ran a strong opening 4000m leg before passing across to David Simpson who brought the club up to 5th position at halfway. Ian Stewart undertook the penultimate leg before Tommy Lawrence brought the club home in 6th place overall.

Our Cross Country Grand Prix has been incredibly popular over the past 17 years and 67 members took part last year with Tommy Lawrence and Judith Turner winning overall.

Also on Saturday afternnon the opening cross country race of the season takes place at the East District Cross Country Relays in Prestonpans. Carnegie have three men's and one ladies team entered for this event.
On Sunday morning the fast and flat Giffordtown 5K Road Race takes place near Ladybank. The race starts at 11am and entries will be taken on the day.

The race which was the penultimate counter in the club's Road Running Grand Prix saw eight Harriers take part and with just one event remaining Scott Bradley leads the men with 443 points and Susan Cederstrom leads the ladies with 439 points. Susan enjoyed a strong run at Loch Ness reaching the finishing line in 3.43.05.
In the corresponding River Ness 10K, Carnegie were represented by four members with Andy Durham placing 19th in 35.37. Steven King placed 34th in 37.07 and Gail Murdoch in her first race since winning the Scottish 100K title clocked 41.42. Marianne Young ran well timing at 47.35.
Ian Mitchell remains in a unique small group of athletes who have completed every Great North Run since the race was launched over 20 years ago. Ian placed 2018th from over 37,000 finishers in 1.37.50.
Across at the Dunbar 10 mile multi-terrain race Richie Cunningham placed a fine 8th overall in 1.04.55. Carnegie were also represented at Saturday's McAndrew Road Relays in Glasgow where the four man team were led off by Tommy Lawrence who placed 8th after the first of the four 3.25 miles stages. Calum McGaw ran strongly on Stage 2 handing across to John Fulham who put in a strong effort before Ian Johnston undertook the anchor leg for the club. The official times / positions are not yet available.
