2023 AGM
Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM and prize giving last week, we had a fantastic turnout of over 60 members.
Sue Walker and Kerry Hunter were re-elected to the Trustee Board and Gordon Henderson joins the board. The draft minute of the AGM is attached. Please email any comments to enquiries@canegie-harriers.co.uk.
At the prize giving, Gail Murdoch was awarded the Marathon Award in recognition of completing the six Abbott World Marathon Majors. Congratulations again to Gail and all our other prize winners.

Ticks and Lyme Disease
It’s that time of year again when we need to be vigilant for ticks especially when running off-road. See the attached note for more information.
Training this week:
Tuesday May 23: Mile repeats @ 5k pace x 3, 3-minute recoveries. The session will take place at the Rosyth Castle loop. The session will be led by Nicole. Meet at the bottom of the lane past the Rosyth Doocot, Milne Road meeting place. Plenty of street parking available.
Thursday May 25: Progressive speed sets on grass – 3-2-1 x 3: 3 mins @ 5k, 2 mins@ 3k, 1 min @ mile pace (continuous) with 3-minute recoveries between sets. The session will take place in Grange Park (opposite the King Malcolm Hotel), meet for warm up at Grange Drive Warm up meeting place Plenty of street parking locally. The session will be led by Lesley.
The session leaders will lead a gentle warm up at 18:30, leaving from the session meeting place, followed by a dynamic warm up at 18:45 and the sessions will start at 18:50. If you can’t make the 18:30 warm up, don’t forget to do a good warm up before the dynamic warmup, and do a cool down after the session.
The Return to Running group will also be meeting at The Glen on Thursday. The group is ideal for members wanting to ease back into training or looking for a gentler session.
If training needs to be cancelled for any reason, we will post on Facebook.
Remember, if you have any symptoms of any potentially transmissible illness (not just Covid), please do not attend training.
