Our Races

Carnegie Harriers host several races throughout the year starting with the ever-popular Devilla Forest 5K and 15K races in mid-February, followed by the Graham Clark Memorial Race in August comprising three loops of the iconic Knockhill Racing Circuit and finishing the year off with our members-only Festive Forest run around Blairadam Forest in mid-December.

The reason we need to process your personal data is to organise and administer the event, and we will only use your personal data for those purposes.

By entering the race, you agree that:

  • we may contact you to provide further information regarding the race;
  • we may publish your Personal Information as part of the results of the event;
  • we may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with, or compared to, other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times and age category.

Where applicable, we will share your Personal Information with any company engaged for the provision of a race timing and results service.

If, in the process of entering the race, you separately give consent for Carnegie Harriers to send you information by email about other events that Carnegie Harriers may organise in the future, we will only use that consent for the purpose for which it was given, and you may at any time change or withdraw that consent by contacting us by email to [email protected].

Carnegie Harriers – Race Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all races organised by Carnegie Harriers.

  1. To enter a race, a runner must:
  • Be eligible to compete under Scottish Athletics rules and willing to abide by those rules. See http://uka.org.uk/competitions/rules/ for further information;
  • Meet the stated minimum age requirements on the day of the race;
  • Be physically fit to run the stated distance of the race.
  1. All races are open to second claim club members, unless otherwise stated.
  2. Entries for runners under the age of 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
  3. All runners participate entirely at their own risk. The race organisers (Carnegie Harriers) and their associates shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage arising as a consequence of any runner’s participation in the race.
  4. By entering the race, you agree that we may use pictures of you taking part in the race or prize-giving for promotional purposes.
  5. Entries are not transferable.
  6. Entries may not be deferred to a subsequent year except in the event of the race being cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
  7. No refunds will be made except in the event of the race being cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
