RACE DATE / VENUE
The race will be run under UK Athletics Rules and Scottish Athletics Licence No 13888 and will take place on Sunday 9th February, starting at 11.05 am. Runners should assemble at the start line, which is different from that of the 15k, approximately 10 minutes before the starting time for the pre-race briefing.
THE COURSE
The Devilla Forest 5k starts and finishes within the grounds of the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan, Kincardine. It follows a relatively flat anti-clockwise loop around the Moor Loch within Devilla Forest, predominantly on forest roads. The course will be marshalled and well-marked at all junctions. The route is predominantly along forest roads suitable for ordinary trainers or trail shoes, but not spikes.
ENTRIES
Competitors must be at least 13 years old to enter the 5k race.
RACE PRIZES
Individual prizes will be awarded to the first 3 men and women overall, regardless of age. There will also be male and female prizes for the following age categories: juniors (under 18), 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69 and 70 and over. There will also be a team prize for the first three runners from a recognised running club, regardless of age or gender.
Prizes will be allocated strictly in age categories.
