Graham Clark Memorial Race – Tuesday 15th August

We’ll shortly be sending out an email regarding arrangements and seeking volunteers for the event.

Training this week:

Tuesday July 11 (led by Lesley): Pittencrieff Park (aka The Glen). Meet at Glen Pavilion. Park in the city’s car parks or around Limekilns Road.

Cruise intervals using the long and short loop.  4 x 6 mins @ 10k pace with 1 minute recoveries, (no recovery following the final rep, straight into 30s fast) then 4 x 30/30 (30 secs on, 30 secs off).

Thursday July 13 (led by Nicole):  Grange Park (opposite the King Malcolm Hotel), meet for warm up Grange Drive Warm up meeting place   Plenty of street parking locally.

Speed Intervals – 45/45, 90/90 x 9 with equal recoveries (45 secs on, 45 secs off, 90 secs on, 90 secs off).

There will also be a Return to Running Group on Thursday.

All training starts at 18:30 from the session meeting place with a warm-up, a dynamic warm up at 18:45 and the session proper 18:50.  If you can’t make the 18:30 warm up, don’t forget to do a good warm up before the dynamic warmup, and a cool down afterwards.

2023-24 GP – Upcoming Events

The GP and ARC results can also be found here on the website.  The next GP race isn’t till August but don’t forget to share any non GP results so we can share them in the bulletin.

We’ve spotted that there has been a change of date for GP RACE 11: LAST DUEL TRAIL RACE (TRAIL) and it will now take place on Sunday 24th September.  Entries are open now on EntryCentral The Last Duel

Carnegie men won the team prize with 34 points.  The team consisted of Jamie Harte, Steven King and Jonathan Millar.

Carnegie women also won the team prize with 44 points.  The team consisted Charlotte Briggs, Joy Gudgin and Alison Murray.

Please note that the results, based on chip times, are still provisional.  GP points will be awarded in finishing order rather than chip time order.
