National Masters XC Championships

Sat 3rd Feb National Masters XC Championships (for those aged 40 or over)

Dean Castle Country Park, Kilmarnock – women and men 65 or over run over 6,000m and start at 1:00pm and men (40 – 64) run over 8,000 and start at 1:45 pm. http://events.scottishathletics.org.uk/events/19973-17565-scottishathletics-national-masters-xc-championships

The Masters XC races are only open to members who will be at least 40 on the day of the event. It is pre-entry only and Karen and Barry sent out emails on 4th January asking for names. Please reply direct to them (by email) if you would like to enter the race by no later than end of training on Tuesday 16th January.

So far they have the following names:

For the ladies – Isobel Burnett; Aileen Morton; Kirsty Baird.

For the men – Phil Smithard; Graeme Wilson; Neil McLure; Paul Kieran; Barry Davie; John Hynd.

Remember you need to be a paid up member of Scottish Athletics to take part in cross country races this year. If you are not already a member, here is the link: http://www.scottishathletics.org.uk/membership/. You must also be registered as first claim for Carnegie Harriers.
