Training for November:
Here are details of our training sessions for the month of November.
On dark winter evenings, it can be more difficult to be motivated to get out and run. One of the benefits of being a member of a running club is that it’s much easier to run in company.
Non Members Welcome
Non-members are welcome to come along to try out our sessions anytime. Don’t worry if you don’t understand some of the technical details, the sessions are explained in more detail on the night. Also, don’t be put off by description of the sessions, you need only do as much as you want or feel able.
If you are planning to come along for the first time, we would ask that you contact us first, preferably by email to [email protected] so that we can provide you with a bit more information on the club and arrange to meet you on the night.
Remember to wear hi-viz clothing so that you can be seen by drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. Be safe, be seen.
Session Aims:
The aim for our training during November is to continue preparation for the cross country events over the coming months.
Session Details:
For the first three Tuesday evenings, the sessions will take place on Dunfermline High Street. There is a choice of two sessions, both the same, starting outside the Tourist Information Office, opposite the Town Hall Clock at either 18:05 or 18:50. Please make sure that you arrive at the start warmed up and ready to run.
For the last Tuesday in the month, we will training in the Public Park (that’s the one behind Dunfermline Town Railway Station), meeting at the Bandstand at either 18:05 or 18:50.
Thursday evening sessions will take place along the (relatively new) path from Camdean Crescent towards Brankolm Brae which is quite flat, smooth, wide and well lit.
